My Apple Watch is not syncing with my iPhone

SmartGym on the Apple Watch is a completely independent app. This means it doesn't require the iPhone to work. You can use it only on the Apple Watch and your data will always be in sync. Your Apple Watch will talk directly to the cloud. And if for some reason it doesn't have any connection, it will store all the changes and update your account the next time it's online.

But this also means that sometimes SmartGym can be updated by iOS on the iPhone and not updated by watchOS on the Apple Watch, resulting in them not properly syncing with each other.

If for some reason your routines are not showing up on the Apple Watch, or the Apple Watch app has stopped syncing, please follow the steps below:

  1. Make sure both the Apple Watch and the iPhone are running SmartGym's latest version. You can check SmartGym's version on the iPhone and Apple Watch app at More > Version on each device. It's really important that SmartGym on both the Apple Watch and on the iPhone have the same version installed. If they don't have the same version, please open the App Store on each device and look for any pending updates.
  2. Make sure the iPhone's Watch app is not trying to update SmartGym on the Apple Watch. Sometimes this update gets stuck and blocks the syncing between devices.
    • Open Apple's Watch app on the iPhone (not SmartGym).
    • Scroll down and make sure SmartGym is showing up under the Installed on Apple Watch section.
    • If SmartGym is showing up under Available Apps, reboot both your Apple Watch and your iPhone.
    • After rebooting, open the App Store on the Apple Watch (not on the iPhone), search SmartGym, then install it from there.
  3. After SmartGym is updated in both devices, just restart both your Apple Watch and your iPhone.
  4. Open SmartGym on your iPhone and on your Apple Watch. Make sure the screen on the Apple Watch is turned on. Then on the iPhone app tap More > Re-Sync Data with Apple Watch app.
  5. If your routines still doesn't show up on the Apple Watch, try reloading your data right from the Watch.
    • Make sure your Apple Watch is connected to the internet.
    • Open SmartGym on the Apple Watch.
    • Scroll down the main screen, then tap the refresh button on the bottom left.
    • Wait a few seconds for SmartGym to load your data from our servers.
  6. If this issue persists, please try logging into your account directly on the Apple Watch.
    • Open SmartGym on the Apple Watch.
    • Scroll down the main screen, then tap More.
    • Tap Subscriber Login.
    • Wait a few seconds for SmartGym to load your data from our servers.
