Glossary

Not sure what a term means? Here’s a quick guide to help you understand the key concepts used throughout the app. These definitions will make it easier to follow your workouts and get the most out of your training.


EXERCISE

A specific physical movement or activity designed to target certain muscles or improve overall fitness. Examples include push-ups, squats, and running.


ROUTINES

A structured sequence of exercises organized to achieve specific fitness goals, such as building strength, improving endurance, or losing weight.


SETS

A group of consecutive repetitions of a specific exercise. For example, 3 sets of 10 push-ups means doing 10 push-ups, resting, and repeating that process two more times.


REPS

Short for “repetitions,” this refers to the number of times an exercise is performed within a set. For instance, 12 reps of squats means performing the squat movement 12 times in a row.


SUPERSET

A training method where two exercises are performed back-to-back with little or no rest in between. Supersets can target the same muscle group or opposing muscle groups.


HIIT

High-Intensity Interval Training. A workout style that alternates short bursts of intense activity with periods of rest or lower-intensity exercise. It’s effective for burning fat and improving cardiovascular fitness.


1RM (One-Rep Max)

The maximum amount of weight you can lift for one complete repetition of a given exercise with proper form. It’s commonly used to measure strength and calculate training intensities for weightlifting programs.


WORKOUT

A complete session of physical activity. It may include one or more routines, exercises, or training styles such as cardio, strength training, or flexibility work.
